Three children injured in Malappuram after car rams into them while returning after exams

MALAPPURAM: Three children were injured after a car rammed into them while they were returning home after exams. The incident happened Friday afternoon in Ponnani. The injured were students of Ponnani A V High School. They were returning after the tenth-class exams.

Th car losing control first hit them and then struck another car. The children were immediately rushed to the hospital. Their injuries are not serious. The children are undergoing treatment in Ponnani taluk hospital and a private hospital in Malappuram.

This incident is amidst the shock of the accident claiming the lives of four eighth class girls at Panayampadam in Palakkad. The students were laid to rest at the Juma Masji in Thuppanadu. The four dead are P A Irfana Sherin, daughter of Abdul Salam, Rida Fathima, daughter of Abdul Rafeeq, K M Nida Fathima, daughter of Abdul Salim and A S Ayesha, daughter of Sharafuddin, all from Cherully.
