Governor reshuffle; Arif Muhammad Khan shifted to Bihar; Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to be made Kerala Governor

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has been transferred to Bihar. Current Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will take over as Kerala Governor.

Rajendra Arlekar was the state President of Bharatiya Janata Party in Goa and Party General Secretary of Goa Pradesh. He was Speaker of the sixth Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa and was an MLA in the fourth Legislative Assembly.

He has held the positions of Chairman of Goa Industrial Development Corporation and Goa State Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes Financial Development Corporation.

Born in Panaji, Goa on 23rd March 1954, Rajendra Arlekar is a B.com graduate.
