'My girlfriend and I would have drowned in sea; an IPS officer saved our lives' 

PANAJI: Renowned YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia revealed that he and his girlfriend narrowly escaped drowning in the sea on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred while they were swimming at a beach in Goa. Taking to his Instagram page, Ranveer said that it was an IPS officer and his wife who saved their lives.

Ranveer and his girlfriend were swimming in the sea on the evening of December 24 when they were caught off guard by a strong undercurrent. Initially unaware of the danger, they started drifting deeper into the water. Realizing the peril they were in, they struggled for about five to ten minutes, trying to stay afloat. Ranveer described feeling like he was losing consciousness and began shouting for help when he thought there was no way out.

At that critical moment, two people came to their rescue. It turned out to be an IPS officer and his wife, who is an IRS officer. “I will always be grateful to them,” Ranveer wrote in his post. Out of respect for his girlfriend’s privacy, he did not disclose her name or share any pictures. The YouTuber also mentioned that both he and his girlfriend swallowed a significant amount of seawater during their struggle but are now in good health.
