THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The General Education Department has issued a circular suggesting that school students should not be denied study trips due to lack of money. The cost of the study trip should be affordable for everyone. The circular was based on Minister V Sivankutty's directive that not even a single student should be denied a study trip because of lack of money.
Key points:
If any student is participating in a free study tour, teachers should take care that other students do not know the information.
Students should not be with the charged travel expenses of teachers and PTA members during study trips.
Personal celebrations such as birthdays of staff and students should be avoided in schools.
If the celebration is held for any reason, it should be done in such a way that there is no financial liability for the students or the parents
The instructions have been made applicable to all schools functioning under CBSE, ICSE and other boards in the state.
