THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance director sent back the clean chit report given to ADGP MR Ajith Kumar, after demanding more clarification on matters. Thiruvananthapuram Special Investigation Unit SP conducted the investigation. The Vigilance Director Yogesh Gupta sent the report back to the Inquiry Officer seeking more clarification. Yogesh Gupta ordered the officer to be present with a file for further discussion only after conducting more investigation into this matter.
P V Anvar MLA had raised four allegations against MR Ajith Kumar. A vigilance investigation was conducted based on this. The main allegation was that Malappuram SP Sujith Das connived in gold smuggling through Karipur and Ajith Kumar got the share. However, the vigilance found that this allegation was completely false. The second allegation was about irregularities in the construction of Ajith Kumar’s luxury house in Kowdiar.
The vigilance found that Ajith had taken a loan of one and a half crore rupees from SBI for the construction of a house. Vigilance has also found that the government has been informed about the construction of the house.
The third allegation: Within 10 days of buying the flat at Kurkankonam, Ajith Kumar sold it for double the rate. The vigilance found that the flat was sold after eight years, and the received price was in accordance with the market rate.
The vigilance report found nothing about Ajith Kumar’s alleged involvement in the tree felling case in Malappuram.
