He made the threat while sitting in the headmaster’s room. Mobile phones are not allowed in the school. His teacher confiscated his phone after he violated the rule.

The student created an issue with the teacher for taking away his phone. He was then summoned to the headmaster’s room. He sat there and threatened to kill him. He initially told the headmaster that he would tell everyone that he was mentally harassed. When he refused to give him his mobile phone, he threatened to show him when he comes out. When the teacher asked him what he would do if he came out, the student threatened to kill him. The teachers and the PTA then filed a complaint with the Thrithala police.

Meantime, the student told police that he repents for his act and is ready to express regret. He told police that he said that in a fit of rage. He said that he is ready to retract what he said and apologize.
