BASEL: India's star badminton player PV Sindhu created history by winning the gold medal at the BWF World Championships. She has defeated former champion Nozomi Okuhara comfortably to secure her first gold at the World Championships. The score read 21-7. 21-7.
Sindhu gave no room for error as she managed to maintain a lead right from the beginning of the game. The world number 5 shuttler, thus gave a fitting reply to all those critics who have been questioning her skills in the tournament finals.
This was Sindhu's third BWF final. With this win Sindhu has settled her scores with Okuhara who had beaten hear after long battle in the 2017 World Championships final
