Two-year-old child found dead in river in Vadakara

VADAKARA: A two-year-old girl was found dead in a river near Vakkeel Palam in Vadakara. The deceased has been identified as Hawwa Fathima, from Kurukkoth K.C. House.

The incident occurred at around 12 PM on Wednesday. The child's body was found just 50 meters away from the house. The family realised that the child was missing after they returned home after visiting a relative's house. Upon conducting a search, they found the body in the river.

Although the child was immediately rushed to the Vadakara District Hospital, she was soon declared dead. The police have registered a case of unnatural death. The body has been sent for a post-mortem at the Kozhikode Medical College.
