New tourist train from southern tip to Kashmir; enjoy two weeks of travel with food, accommodation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An AC tourist train will begin its journey from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Kashmir at 11 am on 2nd April, in collaboration with Indian Railways. There is a 33 percent subsidy available for this offered by the Indian Railway Ministry. The fare for two weeks, including accommodation and food, is Rs. 49,900. This is a special service for senior citizens only, said Vignesh, Director of South Star Rail, in a press conference.

Besides Kashmir, the journey also covers the cities of Agra, Delhi, and Amritsar. A variety of South Indian dishes will be available for the tourists throughout the journey. The fare for third AC is Rs. 49,900, second AC is Rs. 60,100, and first AC is Rs. 65,500. Booking can be done through www.traintour.in. For more information, contact 7305858585.

There are a total of 600 seats for this special tourist train. There will be a digital TV facility indicating and informing the different routes and their attractions inside the coach. The coaches will be fitted with CCTV cameras. There will be a separate tour manager, security guard, housekeeper, and safety officer for each coach.
