Intense discord in Telangana Congress; 10 MLAs join secret meeting

HYDERABAD: There is severe internal discord within the Congress party in Telengana, which came into power last year. There has been information that 10 party MLAs have convened a secret meeting. According to reports, the secret conference was held on MLA Anirudh Reddy's farm house in Gandipet village. These happenings occur as the local self-government elections in state are near.

According to reports, the MLAs who covened this secret conference have objections towards two ministers who allegedly demanded bribes for passing bills of contractors. Chief Minister Revant Reddy arranged for an emergency meeting with the ministers. The High Command has already directed Chief Minister and the State Government to immediately resolve the issues raised by the MLAs.

Those who partook in the meeting were Naini Rajender Reddy, Bhoopathi Reddy, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Murali Naik, Kuchakulla Rajesh Reddy, Sanjeev Reddy, Anirudh Reddy, Laxmi Kantha Rao, Donthi, Madhava Reddy and Beerla Ilaiah.

Chief Minister Revant Reddy involved in this issue on an emergency basis, requesting every minister in the cabinet to maintain good relations with the dissenting MLAs. He said that the suggestions put forward by the MLAs should be taken seriously by all the ministers.
