Woman who jumped from lodge while resisting rape remains in critical condition, confidential statement to be recorded

KOZHIKODE: The confidential statement of the woman, who was seriously injured after jumping from the top of a lodge while resisting a rape attempt in Mukkam, will be recorded today. Her condition continues to be critical. Police said the owner of the hotel and others are still on the run. The police also informed that a search has been intensified for the accused.

The woman, who jumped was an employee of the private lodge in Mukkam. The incident happened at around 11.30 pm on February 1. The woman told police that the owner and employees of the lodge tried to rape her. The Mukkam police had registered a case against three people in connection with the incident.

The victim is a 29-year-old woman. The woman had been an employee of this lodge for three months. The woman told police that three tried to rape her while she was playing a game on her phone on the night of the incident and that she jumped from the building to save her from their act.
