DUBAI: The Champions Trophy cricket tournament is set to begin on the 19th of this month. Although Pakistan is the main venue, India’s matches will be held at the Dubai International Stadium. India's matches were shifted to Dubai under a hybrid model after the Indian government refused to send the team to Pakistan due to security concerns. India’s group includes Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, tickets for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match have already been sold out. The classic encounter is scheduled for Sunday, February 23. Reports indicate that around 150,000 people queued on the website when ticket sales opened on Monday. Tickets were sold out within minutes, including the high-priced Grand Lounge category.
Ticket prices ranged from 500 dirhams (general admission) to 5,000 dirhams (Grand Lounge). According to information available on the ICC website, tickets for India’s matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand in Dubai have also been sold out. If India progresses to the knockout stage, both the semi-final and final matches will also be held in Dubai.
