ISLAMABAD: A massive earthquake shook Pakistan on Sunday morning, with the magnitude showing 5.3 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was 149 km west of Multan in central Pakistan. There were no reports of casualties or damage in the earthquake.
The tremor was felt within a radius of 10 km. Since Pakistan is located on the border where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, earthquakes are a regular occurrence in the country.
