13-year-old student subjected to gang rape by teachers at school; three persons arrested

KRISHNAGIRI: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old student was subjected to gang rape by her teachers. The incident took place at a government school in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Police have arrested 3 teachers in connection with the incident. The incident came to light when the headmistress visited the child's house to inquire why she had not attended school for the past few days. The student's parents disclosed the incident to the headmistress, who then immediately reported it to Childline and the police.

According to the police, one of the teachers had previously raped the girl. After learning about this, two other teachers also assaulted her. A case has been registered against the three teachers under the POCSO Act. They have been suspended from the school. There is growing public outrage demanding severe punishment for the accused. The girl was taken to Krishnagiri Government Medical College Hospital for a medical examination. District Collector S Dinesh confirmed that the girl is not pregnant and that no abortion was performed.
