Major fire in car service center in Kakkanad

KOCHI: A major fire broke out in the car service center in Kakkanad. There were many cars there which were brought for servicing. Three units of fire force have reached the spot. There are many buildings nearby.

The authorities have taken steps to prevent the fire from spreading to other places. It is unclear how the fire started. No casualties have been reported.

‘We came running after seeing the fire. Someone called the fire force. It has been about half an hour since the incident was noticed. The workers were inside. They fled to safety. The fire spread from the ground floor of the building,' said an eyewitness.
