Air Force's fighter jet crashes in Madhya Pradesh; accident during training sortie

BHOPAL: In a shocking incident, a Mirage 2000 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh, during a routine training sortie. Reports indicate that the two pilots ejected safely before the crash, and no one was injured. The crash is believed to have been caused by a technical malfunction.

The Air Force has ordered an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. The Mirage 2000 is a part of the Indian Air Force's critical operations. It was used in the 2019 Balakot airstrike. Images of the crashed aircraft have already come out.
