After this, England collapsed in the batting. Captain Jos Buttler 52(67) and Jacob Bethell 51(64) scored half-centuries to give the visitors a solid total.

Brydon Carse (10) (18), Adil Rashid (8) (16), Jofra Archer (21* not out) (18) and Saqib Mahmud (2) (4) were the scores of other batsmen. Ravindra Jadeja and debutant Harshit Rana, who took three wickets each, made England struggle. Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

With former captain Virat Kohli out of the match due to a knee injury and captain Rohit Sharma not returning to form, it is a big worry for India with the Champions Trophy just around the corner.
