Industrialist Ravi Pillai says that the reason his business failed in Kerala once was the attitude of some people here. "When I was working at the Vellore refinery in Ernakulam, people with hostile attitudes used to create problems. That's why I went to the Gulf. However, it turned out well, that's why I was able to become successful," says Ravi Pillai.
"The industrial environment in Kerala is changing now. But apart from tourism and IT, what other industries can be done in Kerala now?" he asked. "There is no land to build factories. There is a shortage of manpower. If we want to get it, we have to depend on UP or Bihar. They are also changing."
"Big changes are taking place in UP and Bihar. If that happens, we will not get the manpower. Kerala will be in big trouble. Activities anticipating that should be carried out in Kerala," Ravi Pillai said. He was speaking on Kaumudy TV's Straight Line.
