ICU sexual assault case: Serious lapses in conducting medical examination of survivor, report is out

KOZHIKODE: The Human Rights Commission's investigation report pointed out serious lapses on the part of the Medical College authorities in conducting the medical examination of the survivor in the ICU sexual assault case. The report states that Dr Preethi, who conducted the medical examination, lacked experience in handling medico-legal cases.

Meanwhile, the survivor responded that the allegations against Dr Preethi have been proven true. She stated that she has not yet received justice and that the government has not taken any action so far. The survivor added that she would request the Chief Minister to take further action based on the reports from the IG and the Human Rights Commission.
