Did not allow to park car; Policeman beats up hospital security staff

MUVATTUPUZHA: Policeman arrested for attacking hospital security staff after allegedly not allowing him to park his car. Senior Civil Police Officer Shafeeq (45) from Cherthala in Thiruvananthapuram has been arrested. The incident took place at Sabine Hospital in Muvattupuzha at 9.30 am yesterday. The injured security personnel, Sanil Kumar from Punalur and VK Aneesh from Wayanad, have been admitted to the hospital.

Shafeeq had come in a car for the treatment of his child. It is suspected that the reason for the provocation was that the security guards told Shafeeq to park his car in another place nearby as there was no parking facility near the entrance. When Shafeeq was asked to move his vehicle to another parking area, he threatened and beat up the staff. The hospital's Managing Director Dr. Sabin Sivadas said that he had attacked the security guards before over parking issues.
