THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The nursing council made no compromises in their decision in the brutal ragging case of Kottayam Nursing College. A decision has been made to terminate all five accused students from the college and prevent them from going for higher studies. This will be reported to the college authorities. The majority members of the council demanded strict action against the culprits involved in the horrific ragging case that shocked the conscience of Keralaites.

Meanwhile, it is learned that the housekeeper cum security was present in the college hostel even when the brutal ragging was going on against the first-year students. It is reported that one of the students informed the security but he chose to not intervene. The housekeeper earlier stated to police about not hearing any sounds of commotion from the room.

Police have recovered a knife, compass, dumbbells and pieces of granite from the room where the ragging took place. Police are conducting further investigation into the incident. Four more students have filed a complaint against the ragging in the anti-ragging cell of the college.
