'Antony lacks ampere to put that FB post, superstars pulling strings'; G Suresh Kumar stirs debate yet again

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Producer G Suresh Kumar blamed the intervention from some superstars to be behind producer Antony Perumbavoor coming up with a rebuttal against him on Facebook.

SURESH KUMAR:

“Antony doesn’t have the ampere to say those words. He is not a person who would turn up against the producer’s organisation. These are some stars who are pulling strings from behind the curtain. Let them come forward and then we can talk. Why are they hiding behind?

Those stars are bringing in investors from outside and are producing movies. Let them show us a movie that collected more than 100 crores in the market. We can’t always keep quiet in deference to the superstars. Our producers’ organization is never against AMMA.

It was during Mohanlal’s tenure as AMMA president that they did a show for our organization. We are thankful for all that but we want certain superstars to give up their haughty ways. Shouldn't the producer get at least one-fourth of what the actors get paid? There is no point in holding grudges. The collection from OTT has fallen.

It takes months for us to get payment. And there are also situations when according to the whims of actors we are forced to delay the release of films.”
