NEW DELHI: There will be no leadership change in Congress in Kerala for the time being. K Sudhakaran MP will continue as KPCC president. Reports indicate that the issue of leadership change in Kerala was not discussed at the leadership meeting of the High Command held in Delhi. AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal stated that there are no issues within the party and that all leaders in Kerala are united. He made this statement during a joint press conference held after the AICC meeting.
"The High Command will completely monitor political matters in Kerala. The meeting concluded with great confidence. We will put up a strong fight against the misgovernance of the LDF. The meeting reflected a strong message of unity. Every leader has the responsibility to ensure the UDF's victory in the upcoming local and assembly elections," K.C. Venugopal said.
AICC leader Deepa Dasmunsi, who is in charge of Kerala, stated that vacant positions within the KPCC will be filled soon. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge commented that the party will do everything possible to bring Congress to power in Kerala in 2026. K.C. Venugopal also emphasized that leaders in Kerala should not express differing opinions publicly through the media.
K. Sudhakaran asserted that the UDF will seize victory in the upcoming elections in Kerala. The meeting concluded with a firm commitment to that goal. "A strong election battle is ahead. We will bring Kerala into the hands of the UDF," Sudhakaran said.
