'Have been in love for a year, we're now living together'; Aamir Khan opens up about new partner

MUMBAI: Bollywood star Aamir Khan has opened up about his new romantic relationship ahead of his 60th birthday celebration in Mumbai. The actor introduced his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media during a press conference, confirming that they have been in love for the past year. Aamir revealed that he has known Gauri for over 25 years and recently developed a romantic relationship with her.

Gauri, a native of Bengaluru, is currently associated with Aamir’s production company. The actor also disclosed that they are living together and that Gauri has a six-year-old son. Aamir further shared that he recently introduced Gauri to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He mentioned that she has also met his family members, who are happy about their relationship. Expressing his joy over the new phase of his life, Aamir said, "Bhuvan ko apni Gauri mil gayi," referring to the characters Bhuvan and Gauri from the iconic film Lagaan. To mark the occasion, Aamir also sang "Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein" for his girlfriend.

Speculations about Aamir’s relationship with Gauri had surfaced earlier, but neither he nor his family had confirmed it at the time. Aamir Khan has been married twice before. His first wife was Reena Dutta, whom he married in 1986 and divorced in 2002. They have two children, Junaid and Ira. In 2001, Aamir met Kiran Rao on the sets of Lagaan, where she worked as an assistant director. The two got married in 2005 and have a son, Azad. However, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021.
