NEW DELHI: Following the train hijacking in Balochistan, Pakistan had accused India of sponsoring terrorism in the country. Now, India has responded dismissing the allegations as baseless. India stated that Pakistan is merely blaming others for its internal issues and its failure to address them.
Rejecting Pakistan's claims, India clarified that the world is aware of where global terrorism originates. The country's position was clarified by External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randeep Jaiswal. A recent report had ranked Pakistan second globally in terms of terrorism.
Earlier, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Shahkhwat Ali Khan, had made strong allegations against India, accusing it of promoting terrorism and causing instability in neighboring countries. He also targeted Indian media, alleging that they were glorifying the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a group that Pakistan labels as a terrorist organization.
The Balochistan Liberation Army recently hijacked the Jaffar Express train, leading to hours of military action by Pakistan’s security forces to rescue the hostages. The confrontation resulted in the death of 33 militants, but tragically, 21 passengers and four security personnel also lost their lives in the attack.
