PATNA: A newly wedded woman killed her husband to marry her uncle. The incident happened at Aurangabad in Bihar. A complaint has been filed against the woman identified as Gunja Devi (20). His family alleged that the woman killed her husband Priyanshu (25) after hatching a conspiracy with her uncle Jeevan Singh (55). The police have arrested Gunja Devi. Police said the investigation to trace Jeevan Singh is progressing.
Gunja Devi and Jeevan Singh were in a relationship and wanted to marry but their families were not in favour of it. She was forced to marry Priyanshu two months ago. On June 25, when Priyanshu was returning home by train after visiting his sister asked Gunja to send someone on a bike to pick him up from the railway station. However, when Priyanshu was on his way from the station to his house, he was shot dead by two.
Gunja Devi then tried to escape from the village while the investigation into the accused was going on. This raised suspicion among Priyanshu's family. When Gunja's call records were checked, it was found that she was constantly talking to her uncle. A special team has been appointed to investigate the murder. The murder took place 45 days after Priyanshu and Gunja's wedding. The police have arrested the two who helped them to commit the murder.
