LUCKNOW: In a shocking incident, a woman, along with her lover, allegedly stabbed her husband to death and then dismembered the body into 15 pieces. The incident took place in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, after committing the murder, the accused chopped the body and dumped the remains in a drum filled with concrete. The police have arrested the woman named Muskaan Rastogi (27) and her lover Sahil (25) in the incident. Muskaan's husband, Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput (29), went missing on March 4. The police said that after committing the murder, the woman and her lover went to a hill station to celebrate the holidays.
After the murder, Muskaan misled her family members by sending messages to relatives from her husband's phone and posting photos on Instagram. However, when Saurabh did not contact his family for several days, they filed a missing complaint with the police, which led to the discovery of the crime. During questioning, Muskaan admitted to the crime. The police then recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem. The police found the body 14 days after the murder. Due to the inability to break the cement, the drum containing the body parts was moved to a hospital. Following this, a drill machine was used to separate the body parts from the cement.
Saurabh and Muskaan married in 2016 in a love marriage, but their families did not approve. As a result, the couple had been living in a rented house. They have a daughter. When Saurabh came to celebrate his daughter’s birthday, Muskaan and Sahil laced his food with sleeping pills. After he became unconscious, they took him to the bathroom, where they dismembered his body into 15 pieces using a sharp weapon before dumping it in the drum filled with concrete.
