MEERUT: Shocking details have emerged in the murder case in Uttar Pradesh that shocked the country. Police have found that Muskan Rastogi had drugged her husband Saurabh Rajput before killing him. Police said that Muskan Rastogi had forged a prescription and bought sleeping pills. This was before killing the husband and dismembering his body.

Muskan had visited a doctor in the area before planning the murder. She told the doctor that she had anxiety issies. With this, Muskan got a prescription for anxiety medicine. Later, she researched the prescribed medicines on Google. Using this knowledge, Muskan obtained a blank prescription and wrote down the names of the medicines, said SP Ayush Vikram.

Muskan had tried to drug Saurabh Rajput on his birthday, February 25. However, her plan failed as Saurabh did not drink that day. On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh officials raided a medical store in Meerut and confirmed that Muskan had purchased three types of medicines, including antidepressants and sleeping pills. The records from the medical store show that she had purchased the medicines on March 1. However, officials have not yet confirmed whether these medicines were used to drug Saurabh Rajput before his murder on March 4.
