Two weeks after marriage, woman with lover hire killer to murder husband

LUCKNOW: A woman and her lover have been arrested in the case of murdering her husband. The dead is Dilip (25). His wife Pragati Yadav (22), her lover Anurag Yadav and the hired killer have been arrested.

Pragati and Dilip got married on March 5. Dilip was found with bullet wounds on March 19. He was then taken to the Community Health Center in Bidhuna for treatment. However, after his health deteriorated, he was taken to Saifai Hospital and later to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Dilip died on March 21.

The woman and her lover were arrested on the complaint of Dilip’s brother. The two had been in a relationship for the past four years. The family, who opposed the relationship, forced Dilip to marry the woman.

As Pragati and Anurag Yadav were unable to meet after her marriage, decided to kill Dilip. The accused told police about it. The two then hired a contract killer Ramaji Chaudhary for Rs 2 lakh to kill Dilip.

Ramji and his aides took Dilip to the fields beat him and shot him. They fled the scene immediately. The accused were identified with the help of CCTV footage. A gun and other items were recovered from their possession.
