'Prithviraj making history'; Supriya Menon responds amidst Empuraan row

Amidst the controversies surrounding the film Empuraan, Prithviraj's wife and producer, Supriya Menon came with a social media post showering praises on her husband.

“Prithviraj is making history. So proud” Supriya wrote on her Instagram story. Her post comes amidst severe attack on the movie from some quarters that now forced the makers to edit out certain scenes.

Just days back, a BJP leader, in his diatribe against the movie, even termed Supriya as an ‘urban naxal’ and a condescending woman. Supriya kept schutm during the issue.

Empuraan went through 24 cuts in the re-edited version and not 17, as earlier reported by media portals. The scenes depicting violence against women in the film have been completely removed.

"The scene where vehicles pass in the background of religious symbols has also been removed", a prominent Malayalam news channel reported.
