Dhyan Sreenivasan 2.0; new film from Minnal Murali universe, 'Detective Ujjwalan' teaser is out

The teaser for Detective Ujjwalan, the latest film starring Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role, has come out. The teaser hints that the film will be an investigative thriller set against a comedic backdrop. It also strongly suggests that the film will mark a notable comeback for Dhyan Sreenivasan. Fans have described it as one of the most promising teasers of Dhyan’s career.

Detective Ujjwalan is part of the Weekend Cinematic Universe launched by Weekend Blockbusters, which began with the film Minnal Murali. The film is written and directed by newcomers Indraneel Gopikrishnan and Rahul G.

Dhyan Sreenivasan plays the title character, while Siju Wilson appears as CI Shambu Mahadev. The ensemble cast also includes Kottayam Nazeer, Seema G. Nair, Ronnie David, Ameen, Nihal Nizam, Nibras Noushad, Shahubas, Kalabhavan Navas, Nirmal Palazhi, and Josy Sijo in key roles.

The film is expected to hit theatres in May. Prem Akkattu and Shrayanthy are the cinematographers. Music is composed by Ramees Rzee, with editing by Chaman Chacko, art direction by Koyas M, and production control by Javed Chempu.
