KOCHI: Opposition leader VD Satheesan scoffed at the buzz created by CPM cyber handles over his shoes, purported to be worth three lakh rupees. Satheesan responded that he would give those shoes to anyone for 5,000 rupees.

“My friend brought me the shoes from London for just 70 pounds. In India, it would cost around Rs 9000. I bought this during Bharat Jodo Yatra time. I have been using those shoes for two years now. I can give these shoes to anyone who comes with Rs 5000. I think it is a fair deal,' said Satheesan.

Yesterday, cyber groups targeted Satheesan over his shoes, which netizens pointed out were worth lakhs in the market belonging to the brand Cloudtilt. Satheesan flaunted the shoes during the AICC conference in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, which attracted many eyes.

The bag worn by Minister Veena George when she met Health Minister JP Nadda in Delhi was a hot topic of discussion earlier.
