THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Secretary Saradha Muraleedharan replied to N Prashanth that the hearing proceedings cannot be recorded and live-streamed. The letter sent by the Chief Secretary clarifies that the hearing is confidential in nature. The hearing is scheduled for 4:30 pm on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister had intervened and directed the Chief Secretary to hold a hearing to hear what Prashanth, who is under suspension, has to say. However, Prashanth demanded live-streaming of the proceedings. It is not clear whether Prashanth will attend the hearing in the event that the conditions were rejected.

Meanwhile, following the Chief Secretary's reply, Prashant came out with another Facebook post. He accused a section of the media of reporting the news in support of Jayathilak. 'Court hearings of private cases are held in open courts. Today, courts are live-streamed. It should also be remembered that the public has the right to know all information under the Right to Information Act. The Agriculture Department has approved a project called VELICHAM and issued an order to allow the public to know about government meetings by live-streaming them.' He said in the post that people with common sense would ask why hide, but the strange question is why transparency?
