THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Film Critics’ Awards for 2024 is here. The best film award was given to Feminichi Fathima' directed by Fazil Muhammed.
Indulakshmi won the Best Director award for the film 'Appuram'. Tovino Thomas won the Best Actor award for his performances in the films 'Ajayante Randam Moshanam' and 'Anweshippin Kandethum’.
Nazriya Nazim (Sookshmadarshini) and Rima Kallingan (Theater: Myth of Reality) will share the award for Best Actress.
Actor and screenwriter Jagadish, who has completed 40 years in cinema, will be presented with the Critics Jubilee Award. The Chalachitra Ratna, an award given for comprehensive contributions to the film industry, will be presented to Vijayakrishnan, who completed 50 years in the field of criticism and 60 years in his writing career. Actress Seema, who has completed half a century in the acting field, will also be presented with the Chalachitra Prathibha Award.
Producer Jubilee Joy Thomas, actor Babu Antony, cinematographer and director Vipin Mohan, and stunt director Thyagarajan Master will also receive the Film Excellence Award. The Kerala Film Critics Award is the only film award in Kerala after the State Film Awards that invites applications and is decided by a jury. 80 films competed this time.
