10 held for playing cards in private rubber plantation; Rs 1.5 lakh seized

NLAMBUR: A group of ten individuals who were gambling near a private rubber plantation in Thelppara RPS was caught by the Pookkottumpadam police. An amount of Rs 1.5 lakh was seized from them.

The arrested individuals are Karuvarakundu native Sharafudheen (44), Chembrassery native Abdul Hameed (40), Vandoor native Sudheer (48, Pallikkuth native Ashraf (54), Vandoor native Subair (54), Chungathara native Mujeeb Rahman (47), Kappil native Siddique (58), Pathar native Anil Kumar (44), Kattichira native Aneesh (44) and Chulliyode native Abdul Razack.

The arrests were made by a team led by Police Inspector V. Ameerali. The police team also included SI James, SCPOs Sajeesh, Zakkeer, Saneer, Saleel Babu, and CPOS Noushad, Binukumar, and Umar Farooq.
