'There are middlemen who supply drugs to film sets'; full statement of Shine Tom Chacko is out

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The full statement provided by actor Shine Tom Chacko to the police in connection with the drug case has been made public. Shine reportedly admitted that he went to the hotel to meet a young woman of Malayali origin from abroad and that he had transferred money online to purchase narcotics. He also told the police that he uses both methamphetamine and cannabis. Regarding the allegation made by actress Vincy Aloshious, Shine denied behaving inappropriately with her, stating that he might have joked around, but did not act disrespectfully.

Shine's statement:

“There are middlemen who supply drugs to film sets. I have transferred money online to purchase drugs, but I don’t remember exactly to whom I sent the money. I have smoked cannabis on shooting sets. I went to the hotel to meet a young Malayali woman from abroad. She had also taken a room in the same hotel. I ran away from the hotel out of fear.

I have no issues with anyone else. There were some disputes related to a film produced by my father, particularly concerning profit sharing. I ran away from the hotel, fearing that people connected to that issue were coming to assault me. I use both methamphetamine and cannabis. Methamphetamine is usually snorted through the nose. I don’t remember when I last used it. People who sit with me on film sets often smoke cannabis, and at times, they have offered it to me.”
