BENGALURU: An Indian air force officer was brutally roughed up by a group of youngsters in Bengaluru on Monday. The Wing Commander suffered injuries on his face while the youngsters also passed lewd remarks at his wife.

The video of a blood-soaked Wing Commander Bose and his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita, recalling the horrific incident, is now viral on social media, evoking a strong response from netizens.

Madhuimita was driving the Wing Commander to the airport from the DRDO colony in CV Raman Nagar in Bengaluru.

Air Force officer:

“A group of youngsters followed us on a bike, and they made us stop our car. They were irked over the DRDO sticker on the car. They started abusing my wife, and I couldn’t handle the situation, so I got out of the vehicle to confront them. However, one of them used a vehicle ignition key to punch me in my forehead. The next thing I saw was blood oozing out from my forehead.

I was taken aback and shouted at the treatment they give to army and navy officials. Surprisingly, more people joined them in abusing me. One even picked up a stone to hit my face. We went straight to the police station to complain, and their response was meek. I couldn’t believe it. This is the Karnataka of today. God help us.

Tomorrow, if the law and order don't favour me in this incident, I will surely retaliate."

The wing commander also shared the photo of his attacker. The Indian Air Force is yet to respond to the incident.
