Three, including notorious goon held for attacking wedding bus in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: Three were arrested for attacking a vehicle ferrying a wedding party in Koduvally. Kolavayal Aziz, Aad Shameer and Ajmal have been arrested in the incident. Three police officers were injured while chasing and arresting the accused. The accused attacked the bus by throwing firecrackers. They also brutally beat up those who got out of the bus.

The argument over the bus hitting their vehicle while on the road led to the attack. The incident took place in Koduvally Vennakkad.

The youngsters threw firecrackers inside the bus while it was coming out of a petrol station. One of the firecrackers thrown by the attackers exploded with a loud noise inside the station. Police recovered another damp firecracker from the spot. A major fire tragedy was thus avoided. The incident took place around 2 pm today.

After dropping all passengers at the wedding hall, the bus driver chose the petrol station nearby to turn the vehicle and then park at a suitable spot. While reversing, the bus slightly rubbed past the car, which irked the youngsters.

The notorious gangster Aadu Shameer and his gang parked the car in the middle of the road and attacked the wedding party.

The police clarified that several criminal cases are pending against Aadu Shameer and Kolavayal Aziz. They also have a previous case of attempted murder in Koduvally. There are 11 cases against Ajmal. The only person who is yet to be arrested is Amal, who was involved in the attack.
