SRINAGAR: A soldier from Andhra Pradesh was martyred in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan on the Kashmir border on Friday. M Murali Naik (27), a native of Sathya Sai district in Andhra Pradesh, was killed in the Pakistani firing along the Line of Control today.
The process of airlifting him to Delhi for specialist treatment was in progress. The Andhra Pradesh Governor paid tribute to Murali Naik. Murali Naik's hometown is Gorandla in the Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh. He hails from a family of farmers. Murali is unmarried.
