THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An Air Arabia flight bound for Abu Dhabi made an emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram due to a technical fault. The incident happened last night near 8 pm.

There were 171 passengers on board. After takeoff, the pilot noticed a technical fault in the hydraulic system of the rear wheels. Immediately the pilot contacted the airport and sought permission for the emergency landing. The plane had enough fuel to complete the journey for the long-haul flight to Abu Dhabi.

The pilot was instructed to fly around the runway to burn off the remaining fuel and then make the landing. The plane then landed at around 8:30 p.m.
