Malayali students from various universities who have reached Delhi from Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Punjab, Jalandhar, Chandigarh and other places and unable to reach Kerala contacted my office. I had written to the union railway minister requesting to allow a special train. As a solution to this, the railway ministry has issued an order sanctioning a special train for the students stranded in Delhi to reach Kerala.
Students returning to Kerala from universities in conflict-affected border states in the wake of Operation Sindoor had reached Kerala House in Delhi the other day. About seventy-five students reached Kerala House. These are students from various central and state universities in Jammu, Rajasthan and Punjab. In the wake of the tense situation, a 24-hour control room was opened at Kerala House in Delhi on the instructions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to provide assistance and information to Malayalees and students in the border states.
