Not just world's fourth-largest economic power

Operation Sindoor is here to stay. Meanwhile, the confrontation between the two neighbouring countries reached a halt after Pakistan requested a ceasefire. With this, Donald Trump-led US allegedly brokered peace between the two nations. However, things hit a nadir when the same Pakistan broke the pact within hours of Trump’s announcement.

As per reports, the melee between the two nations lasted for just four days but Pakistan has been fatally wounded. It will require some years before they can recover in full.

India targeted eight important Pakistani air bases with precision missile strikes. Pakistan retaliated with hundreds of drone strikes, missile strikes and bomb attacks, but India's 'Sudarshan Chakra' and missile defence systems rendered them ineffective.

Some two years back, about fifty Indian soldiers were martyred in the clash with Chinese troops in the Line of Control. India never deterred from revealing the names of all casualties. At the same time, China cared not to talk about their causalities, as they are an authoritarian government and can do things at their whim. Pakistan, a theocratic state, is emulating China to shroud details of their debacle in the recent tiff with India. They are even viciously celebrating a self-declared win in the fight against India while meticulously spreading disinformation even through global news platforms.

The battering they received in last week’s escalation helped Pakistan realise a thing or two about India’; politics and the Army are not the sides of the same coin in India.

India avenged the Pahalgam massacre only after informing countries like Russia, America, and Saudi Arabia, about Pakistan’s cruel shenanigans. Pakistan was awaiting an Indian attack, but they failed to fathom the range India would go to strike at them. It was a departure from the 1999 war that this time both countries shifted to drone strikes, missile strikes, and air defence systems.

With these four days of meticulously planned attacks and defence, India showed to the world that they are not just the world's fourth-largest economic power, but also an elite military power.

India shot down Pakistan's most lethal missile, the Fatah-2, in Sirsa, Haryana. The Brahmos missile, one of India's game-changer weapons, was used after this stage. After Brahmos showed its might, Pakistan ran under the safety cover of the US and tactfully brought Washington to broker peace between the two nuclear powers.

Despite being caught in the throes of a tariff war; China was assiduously monitoring the developments of the Indo-Pak fight. Despite uncertainty from all sides and a big clique forming in support of Pakistan, India didn’t lose its cool and managed to come out of it unhurt. Amidst the chaos, the US tried to fish in troubled waters, and this ignominious play from the 'world police' would be remembered throughout in coming years.

War always carries an air of emotionality. However, it should also be noted that the same war can also boost Indian arms exports after the stellar results near the border. It is in times of crisis that true friends are recognized. It is undeniable that Russia has stood steadfastly with India on this issue.

Pakistan should realize, at least in these moments of defeat, that what it sows, it reaps. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is growing into a major world power. As per the white house press, PM Modi has given an ultimatum to Pakistan that any more acts of terror would not be spared and the country responsible would be crushed to rumbles. It is difficult for a rogue nation to change overnight, but at least Pakistan can try.
