THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More information emerges in the incident of beating a female junior by her senior at Vanchiyoor. The junior identified as J V Shyamili has filed a complaint with the bar council against her senior Bailin Das, under whom she was practicing. Her complaint demanded disciplinary action against Bailin.

Shyamili revealed that he had beaten her even when she was five months pregnant. She said that she did not file a complaint as he was her senior. The woman came forward with the complaint yesterday. He beat her multiple times yesterday. While talking to the media, she said that she lost consciousness after she was beaten three times. The police have intensified search for Bailin, who is absconding.

Meantime, the pictures of her swollen face are being widely circulated on social media. Bailin beat her with his hands and then with a mop stick. Shyamili is mother of a six-month-old baby. The senior attacked her in front of her colleagues.

Shyamili returned to work three months after giving birth. Bailin had last Wednesday informed Shyamili, who has been practicing law under him for the past three years, that she has been sacked from work. However, he called her on Saturday and apologized to her. He forced her to resume office. Although she reached the office on Monday, she could not speak to him. When Shyamili asked him the reason to sack her, he brutally attacked her yesterday.
