"Get me married in Pakistan": WhatsApp chat between Ali Hassan and 'spy' YouTuber Jyoti revealed

NEW DELHI: WhatsApp chats of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested for spying for Pakistan, have been revealed. The NIA has found chats with ISI officer Ali Hasan. In the chats, Jyoti says that she wants to get married in Pakistan. The chats came to light amid news that she married a Pakistani High Commission official, Danish. Jyoti and Ali Hasan used code language to exchange confidential information.

Jyoti also provided information to Pakistan about the blackout imposed in India during Operation Sindoor. The NIA has also found evidence that Jyoti was in contact with Danish while Operation Sindoor was underway. However, Jyoti has deleted chats with Danish after March.

Jyoti had admitted during interrogation that she regularly spoke to an official of the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. Jyoti also said that she first came into contact with Danish, also known as Ehsar Dar, when she visited the High Commission in 2023 to apply for a visa to travel to Pakistan. Danish is one of the Pakistani diplomats expelled from India following the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people. It was through Danish that she met Ali Hassan. Ali Hassan was the one who arranged accommodation for Jyoti Malhotra in Pakistan. Jyoti also revealed that Ali Hassan introduced her to two people whom she believed to be Pakistani intelligence officers.

Jyoti Malhotra is the owner of the YouTube channel 'Travel with Jo'. The channel has about four lakh subscribers. The investigating officers have recovered Jyoti's personal diary. Jyoti Malhotra has written in detail about her visit to Pakistan in the diary. She has written in her diary that the trip to Pakistan was very interesting and that she received a lot of love from there. The investigation team has found that Jyoti has handed over information and pictures about strategic places in India to Pakistani spies.
