BENGALURU: The court has remanded four officials of Royal Challengers Bangalore who were arrested regarding the IPL celebration at Chinnaswamy Stadium that turned tragic. RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale has also been arrested. He was arrested at the airport this morning while going to Mumbai. The other arrested are Senior event manager Kiran Kumar, vice president of business affairs Sunil Mathew and another employee Sumanth, members of event management company DNA Entertainment Private Limited. They have been remanded by the magistrate court for 14 days.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka High Court has granted protection from arrest to the officials of the Karnataka State Cricket Association. It was decided in the cabinet meeting to file a case against the RCB team and the Cricket Association officials. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had also directed the police to arrest the culprits as soon as possible. With this, Karnataka State Cricket Association President Raghu Ram Bhatt and others approached the High Court seeking quashing of the case filed against them. The action was taken after they informed that they would cooperate with the investigation. The case will be considered again on June 16.

Social media is demanding the arrest of RCB superstar Virat Kohli in the Chinnaswamy tragedy. The hashtag #ArrestKohli trended on X following the rumours that Kohli is planning to leave India. The other day, the word that Virat is going to London was spread along with footage of Virat and his wife Anushka leaving Bengaluru airport for Mumbai. It was also alleged that the sudden victory celebration was organized so that Virat could leave for London.
