THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ernakulam native Reshma arrived in Thiruvananthapuram after getting married 10 times in various districts of Kerala using matrimonial ads. Reshma was getting ready to go to the auditorium for her wedding on Friday morning. Aryanad police dramatically arrested her on the complaint of her fiancé, a panchayat member.

Police said that Reshma arrived at the wedding with the panchayat member after deceiving the man she had married 45 days earlier and that her next wedding was scheduled for next month with another person from Thiruvananthapuram. The fraud was uncovered when her fiancé and a relative checked her bag after becoming suspicious of Reshma's behavior.

Reshma was brought from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram by another man for her marriage to the panchayat member. When the police questioned Reshma, they asked who was with her and whether it was this man who had brought her from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram. Reshma's answer to this shocked even the police. Reshma gave the police a statement that this was the man she was going to marry the next month after marrying the panchayat member.

Reshma, who had arrived in Aryanad the day before the wedding, was accommodated at a friend's house by her fiancé, the panchayat member. The fraud was uncovered when the fiancé and his relative, suspicious of Reshma's behavior, checked her bag. The panchayat member had registered with a group that ran matrimonial ads and received a call on May 29. The woman, who introduced herself as the Reshma's mother, gave Reshma's phone number to the man.

They then talked to each other. The two met at a mall in Kottayam on the 4th. Reshma convinced the man by telling him that she was adopted, that her mother was not interested in her getting married and that she used to harass her. With this, the panchayat member assured her that the wedding would be held on the 6th. Reshma reached Thiruvananthapuram for the marriage but she also brought along the man whom she was targeting next.
