Is World War III brewing?

It is said that no one wins in war, because the destruction of human life and property, no matter who does it, cannot be considered a victory. However, in some cases, war is inevitable. If there are actions that question the dignity and pride of a country, if they are not retaliated against, they will be repeated again and the very existence of humanity will be questioned. Cross-border terrorism and military operations are usually the causes of wars. Apart from these, wars have also been fought to conquer the weak by force with an eye on mineral resources. It has been almost four years since the war in Ukraine began. Not only does that war show no sign of ending, but it is becoming more intense and destructive day by day. The Israeli war in Gaza has not ended as the two years have passed. There are few days when the people of Gaza are not killed in bombings and shelling.

There was only one war that ended almost as soon as it started. It was the India-Pakistan conflict. The fact that it ended in just four days is no small relief to the ordinary people of India and Pakistan. However, the Middle East is once again engulfed in war. Iran and Israel have started a war. Israel launched a massive attack on Iran using 200 warplanes. In addition to the massive destruction of property in this airstrike, about 100 people were killed, including the commander of the Iranian Joint Chiefs of Staff, his deputy, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and six nuclear scientists. Iran's nuclear power plant was also attacked. Israel also suffered casualties in the Iranian counterattack using drones. There were explosions, including in Tel Aviv. Israel had attacked Iran several times while the war in Gaza was ongoing. Iran had also retaliated. The war that has now begun is continuing without a break and causing the entire West Asia to live in fear of conflict.

If these wars are not stopped through the intervention of the great powers, it will not take long for the world to slide into a third world war. Wherever the war takes place, it can affect the people living on earth in many ways. In addition to increasing the prices of oil and gas, a shortage of essential goods should also be expected. Since shipping will be disrupted, the movement of goods will be blocked. This will cause the prices of goods to soar in many Asian countries, including India, and ordinary people's lives will become difficult. Once the war starts, there is no point in discussing who is right. Peace-loving countries, including India, should find ways to end it.

What is keeping Israel awake at night is Iran's nuclear capabilities. Moreover, Iran is not a country that easily surrenders in the face of threats and war. It is also a country that maintains good relations with Russia. Israel, on the other hand, is a country that stands firmly on the side of the United States. Immediately after Friday's attack, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that this was not a one-day attack and that it would last for days if necessary. Many of the statements made by US President Trump in recent times are not credible. Trump has made it clear that he had no role in Israel's attack on Iran. How events unfold in the coming days will be very crucial. Starting another endless war does not bode well for the future of humanity.
