Jawaharlal Nehru was a Muslim, he used to secretly offer namaz five times a day: PC George 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA and BJP leader PC George has claimed that India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was a Muslim. Speaking to the media, George alleged that although Nehru professed atheism publicly, he privately performed Islamic prayers five times a day.

“Jawaharlal Nehru is the first accused responsible for ruining this country. Everyone says that Nehru's grandfather (Motilal Nehru's father) was a Muslim. Nehru had claimed to be an atheist, yet he used to secretly offer namaz five times a day. Read MM Mathai's book and you'll understand the truth," George said.

“Both the Congress and the Communists here are the same — both are anti-nationals. It’s high time we abandoned both. Poor people in Kerala keep switching between the UDF and LDF. I’ve been with both sides, I’ve seen it all. That’s why I say — both are frauds. I believe both should be wiped out,” he said.

Commenting on the Bharat Mata controversy, George said, “What is the point in creating a controversy over Bharat Mata? If I believe in it, don’t I have a constitutional right to do so? Those who want to bow down can do so; those who don’t can leave. Didn’t Pinarayi Vijayan try to force two women who were not observing the Sabarimala traditions into the temple? Is that democracy? The first confrontation I had with them was over that issue. Let people observe their customs and beliefs. Why should that bother us? Muslims pray five times a day. Should anyone be telling them not to? Likewise, should anyone tell Hindus not to visit temples? These are personal matters that should not be dictated by others.”
