THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday night for the inauguration of the BJP state committee office. He arrived around midnight, nearly two hours later than scheduled. Amit Shah, who travelled from Delhi on a special flight, was received at the airport by state BJP leaders under the leadership of state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
After resting at a private hotel, Shah will inaugurate the state committee office at 11 AM on Saturday. Following that, at 11:30 AM, he will inaugurate the ward-level leadership meet being held at Putharikandam Maidan.
In the afternoon, he will participate in the BJP state leadership meeting, where discussions will focus on preparations for the upcoming local body elections. Around 4 PM, the Home Minister will head to Kannur and visit the Rajarajeshwara Temple in Thaliparamba. He is scheduled to return to Delhi later in the evening.
