Return journey of Shubhanshu and team begins; undocking completed, spacecraft separates from station

NEW DELHI: The Axiom Mission 4 crew, which includes Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, has commenced their return journey from space. The process began with the scheduled closure of the capsule hatch at 2:37 AM, followed by the successful undocking of the Dragon spacecraft from the International Space Station (ISS) at approximately 4:45 AM.

The crew members have boarded the capsule. “Undocking” refers to the process where a spacecraft or a part of it detaches from a space station or another spacecraft.
